Thank you for visiting the Morton Junior High website. I was hired as principal at Morton Junior High School in 2012. I attended the University of Illinois for my undergraduate degree and later received a Masters in Educational Administration from Bradley University. I began my teaching career in New Orleans Public Schools where I taught fifth grade with Teach for America. Upon completing my two-year commitment to the program, my wife, Shalome, and I moved to Indianapolis. There I taught fourth grade and seventh grade science at Heritage Christian School. While teaching I coached middle school baseball and basketball. In 2007, we moved to Morton, and I taught fifth grade at Lincoln Elementary. My administrative experience includes being the junior high principal and high school assistant principal at Deer Creek-Mackinaw Schools and the principal at Lettie Brown Elementary. My family feels blessed to be part of the Morton community and school district.
I believe a school is most successful when all stakeholders are united in encouraging students to fulfill their potential by embracing each child’s individual value and giving them high expectations for future successes.
